Initial contact is made by telephone to our referrals team on 08701 20 35 25.
The referrals team will obtain information about the young person; our experienced team will then give an immediate provisional indication as to whether we will be able to offer a placement subject to a full assessment.
Planned Placement
Where there is more time, a fuller assessment of the needs of the young person will be undertaken. This may involve referral forms, reports, conversations and even visits. Subsequently a contract of placement will be drawn up and a planned move will be arranged, taking into account the views of the young person, the social worker and the home.
Emergency Referrals (24 hours a day)
Our referrals team will seek to obtain as much information as possible; this may be via the referral form, other reports and by verbal conversations with interested parties. From this information a senior member of the team will make a decision as to whether we are able to meet the needs of the young person. Thereafter a contract of placement will be drawn up and actions will be put into place to commence the placement.
