Roselea House is situated in a quiet and established residential area of Widnes which can be easily accessed from the M62/M56 motorway network.

It is perfectly situated to offer children the experience of community living within a location which is close to both local and specialist services for educational, health and therapeutic input.

Roselea House provides a stable and secure base for young people to address their difficulties and take appropriate responsibility for their lives and actions. Roselea has an excellent relationship with the local CAMHS based at Thorn Road Clinic, Runcorn.

The aim of the home is to provide an atmosphere of ordinary family life within a residential setting and to establish trusting relationships between staff and young people. We place a significant emphasis on establishing firm but consistent and fair boundaries to meet the needs of the young people.

The staff at Roselea House are committed to working in a child centred way. The team have been recruited on their previous professional experiences and motivation to provide quality care. The staffing ratio is one adult to two children with an experienced team leader always on shift.

All staff undergo a comprehensive induction package and will have completed the induction and foundation training over the first six months. This is complimented by further training to NVQ 3 standard in line with the requirements of the Care Standards Act 2000 or workshops to address any specialist needs that a young person in placement presents.
